The Best Quotes for the Week

"We drank all our money." - Uncle David

"It brings a new meaning to beat it and eat it." - Aunt Cheryl

"You have a penis, therefore, you are evil and can't cook." - Me, there is a 5 minute long story to explain this but I think it is fine on its own.

"I met my grandpa last year." - Jaz, again, long explanation

"Holy mother of Monkey nuts." - Me, it was cold.

Jaz: "Mac and Cheese is too expensive."
Me: "Why don't you get Ramen noodles?"
Jaz: "How much are those?"
Me: "How much do you want?"
Jaz: "Enough to last me till Christmas."
Me: "That'll be about 12 cents."
Jaz: "I'll take two."

"The camel just bit my nipple." - Charles, it really did bit his nipple. I was lucky enough to take a picture at that exact moment but he stole it. Sadness.

Pics from the Trip Home

The cute little puppy.

And Again.

When I walked in, she was curled up on Wyatt's pillow, sleeping. She is so cute.

This time she is with her daddy, he is saying "Go to Hell and take the camera with you."

The big brother, one of the few pictures of him.

Like father, like daughter.

Woo Hoo

Do you have any idea how good it feels to have a $0 balance on your tuition account? My last loan came in on Monday so it no longer says I owe $1200. I feel so much better. Now if I could say the same about my credit card. . .

Noooooo!!

Well Raegan, down the hall, thinks she might have strep throat. Which wouldn't be so bad if I hadn't woken up with a sore throat for the last two days. She is miserable, she can barely talk and she's running a pretty high fever. She's going to the doc today, I hope she's okay. And I hope no one else gets sick.

Friday Night

This is Brooke and Kevin. Yesterday, the frats had two parties one was formal and called "Wine and Cheese". The other, mocking the first, was "40's and Cheesey Puffs". These two went to the latter. The theme was hick/redneck/trailer trash. If you can't read their tattoos(done by me and Jaz), Brooke's says "I love Jethro(crossed out) Kevin". Kevin's says "I love Trixie(crossed out) Brooke.

What the?

The weather today is beautiful, it's about 65 degrees, it's also cloudy. Yeah, clouds. Anyway, when Patrick and I left lunch, I walked out the door and stopped. It smelled like snow!?! Patrick being the city boy, said "What the hell does snow smell like?". Of course, I had to explain to him that people in Oklahoma have this weird ability to smell snow and rain and feel when there is going to be a tornado. He thinks I'm crazy, and he's probably right but it still smelled like snow. I want snow so bad. I just want to be cold.

Storm

We had an awesome storm last night. The winds were 60-65 mph. The light killed two transformers and knocked out power for the entire campus. It was so fun. We took all our chairs and blankets and made a tent in the hallway and slept out there. It supposed to rain for the next few days. This is the first rain we've had since orientation. I love rain.

Sunday Shoes

Charles took this picture when he was at church one day. Isn't it incredible.

Yeah

Well, after some number crunching and a few headaches, I figured out that I can graduate a semester early. I will still get to take all the classes I want and I will have a double major in Political Science and Religion and a minor in Global Studies. All the classes I need are covered and then some, I even know what to take in England. If it all goes as planned I'll graduate in the Fall of 08. Woo Hoo.

La La E La

I am so bored. I am so bored. I am so bored. There is so little to do when you know you should do your homework, or go to sleep for my 8 o'clock class. But neither idea sounds good. So once again, I am so bored.

Do do do dut do

I am so exhausted. Patrick and I just got back from a TWO HOUR WALK!! We started walking at 9:45. We were just taking random turns whenever the streets got too dark, and we got back and I looked at my watch thinking it had been 30 minutes or so, but no, it was 11:45. We were talking the whole way and completely forgot what time it was. I think we walked about 3 miles but I really have no clue because we didn't walk in a straight line. We mainly talked about England, we are both signed up for the fall of 07 trip. We also talked about old buildings, haunted houses, and architecture (he's an ARCH major). It was so much fun. Now it is off to bed I go. I take that back, after Family Guy. Good night.

Tattoo

Here are the pictures.

Explaining the Last Post

Well, most of my friends and everyone else in the dorm, are out at the quad getting plastered and I am back here on my computer. Patrick is the only other person here, he's on the phone. I have pretty much decided to become a religion major. I have always found religion interesting and I think I would really enjoy the classes. Plus, Patrick and I just went to see The Exorcism of Emily Rose (it was amazing by the way), which made me even more interested in religion. I think next semester I will take a couple of classes and see if I still like it. The reason that post was so weird is because I was working on our first paper for Alpha, I actually finished it about 5 am. Class started at 11:00 and ended at noon, then I went to sleep. Then, we didn't even turn the paper in, she gave us a sheet to edit it with and we turn it in Monday.

Study Abroad

I turned in my application for Study abroad earlier today. I put down that I wanted to go to England in the Fall of 07, I am 15th on the list which means I am guaranteed a place in the program. I am also going to a meeting next week about going to South Africa this summer. There is also a trip this summer to Romania which I am looking into. I want to try and go on as many trips as I can.

Patrick's house

Staying at Patrick's house was so much fun. We met his parents, his younger brothers (Cory and Sean), his older sister (Emily), and the 2 dogs (Conner and Seamaus). They are all about the Irish names. They were so much fun and made us all feel at home. His parents are amazing cooks, his dad made breakfast both days and his mom made the other meals. REAL FOOD, it was wonderful. Since we had so much fun on this roadtrip, we are already planning our next one. October 13-16 we have fall break, Amy, Jazmyne, and I (Patrick has to go to a wedding) think we might go to my house, if it is ok with my parents and we can find beds for all 3 of us. Our mission is to go to everyone's house by the end of the year, which really isn't that hard. Jazmyne lives in Buffalo, 30 minutes north of here, Amy lives in Monett, 30 minutes south of here and we already went to Patrick's house. I think that is all for now, leave me comments, tell me what you think.

Six Flags and Random Other Pics

Quote of the Day: "I'm not trusting my ass to centripetal force." - Me, at Six Flags

Let's go look for Yogi!

The entrance to Six Flags St. Louis. I don't have any pics from inside the park because I'm a dork and I forgot the camera in the car.

Six Flags from Six Flags Road, which for those of you who can't put 2 and 2 together, is the road you take to Six Flags after you get off the highway.

Another shot from the road. The answer to the 2 and 2 comment before is chair. Don't ask.

Jazmyne at one of the rare points where she is awake.

Here is Patrick in the back of Amy's car after about 10 minutes on the road.

Patrick on the way back to Springfield, he is laughing by the way.

Amy, we are about to leave Patrick's house, she is preparing for the long drive and trying not to laugh her ass off.

Patrick, again.

My beautiful self portrait, you better like this picture, I almost dropped my camera to get it.

Just a very pretty sunset on Saturday night.

This is my kinda town.

You can't really tell in this pic, but there was a little stuffed monkey hanging from the tail light of this ambulance we saw on the highway.

"Wonderful" Weekend

Well my weekend for the most part really was great. But, 20 minutes in St. Louis ruined it all. The night we got to Patrick's house, we dropped off our stuff and decided to go to Walmart to get some things we forgot. Patrick's parents asked us if we would pick up Sean, his little brother, from work on the way. After we got Sean, we were on our way to Walmart when we noticed a cop had been following us since we left his job. Amy stuck her hand out the window because apparently in Monett they wave at the cops when they see them. I grabbed Amy's arm and pulled it back in the window, as soon as I did we saw lights in the rear view mirror. We pulled over and waited for the police officer to come to the window, when he got to the window, he told Patrick that he had been swerving, which we weren't, he also said that we had thrown something out the window, which once again, hadn't happened. He asked us what we were doing, Patrick told him that we had just picked up his brother and were heading to Walmart. The genius cop asked which one was his brother ( to explain, in the car, there were 3 girls and 2 guys and the cop was talking to one of the guys, duh). The cop took Pat's ID and insurence and went back to his car, by this time there are 2 other cop cars there, 2 St. Louis county police and 1 St. Georges' police car. He came back and asked Patrick to get out of the car, he took him to the other side of the car, asked him if he had any knives or needles, which he didn't, then he searched Patrick, and asked him to sit on the sidewalk with his feet in front of him and his hands at his sides. I was in the front passenger seat, so next he told me to get out, he asked me the same thing, I told him all I had on me was my keys, he told me to turn out my pockets and he checked my pants' legs and told me to sit on the sidewalk beside Patrick. Next, they told Amy to get out, she told him that she didn't have any pockets, and he lifted up her shirt to check. The cop then searched Jazmyne and Sean and told them to sit with the rest of us. He then searched the entire car, under the seats, in the glovebox, everywhere. He also searched my purse which I had left in the car, which I didn't think they could search without 1) probable cause and 2) me watching, but maybe I'm mistaken, but I doubt it. After he searched the car, he told us to get back in and the cop went to his car and came back. He told us that he wasn't going to give Patrick a ticket but to be more careful, whatever that means. If we hadn't done anything to deserve a ticket, why did he need to search the car, or even pull us over. GRRRR.

Blah

Well, I'm officially out of Calculus which means I only have 12 hrs. this semester. I think I'll take 17 next semester to catchup. After returning my Calc book I am $124.85 richer, which will probably all be spent on gas for this weekend. I can't wait. I miss you all, I love you.
